prof. Karel Roubik, Ph.D.

Prof. Karel Roubík is a vice-dean of the CTU FBME faculty responsible for international relations and PR. He coordinates cooperation between bachelor, master and PhD students in education and research among CTU FBME and foreign universities and research institutes. He coordinated and was a principal investigator of numerous national and international grant projects (CZ Ministry of Health, CZ Ministry of the Interior, CZ Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, ESF Funds, International Visegrad Fund, etc.). He participated in creation and then was repeatedly teaching et ESEM Summer School of Biomedical Engineering. At CVUT FBME, he is responsible and is a guarantee of the European Master's program CEMACUBE: Common European Master’s Course in Biomedical Engineering. Prof. Roubík is active in several international scientific and professional organizations (vice-chairman of IMEKO—International Measurement Confederation, Technical Committee TC-13: Measurements in Biology and Medicine; is a committee member of the International Association of Science and Technology for Development (IASTED), a committee member of Czech Society for Biomedical Engineering and Medical Informatics, etc.). Prof. Roubík introduced a subject ‘Selected topics from mathematics’ for biomedical engineers aimed at application of differential equations, integral transforms and modeling in description, design and solution of biomedical systems. He also teaches biomedical statistics, mathematical modeling and data/biomedical signal processing in several bachelor, master and doctoral courses. Prof. Roubík has written 45 publications listed in ISI Web of Science/Web of Knowledge, he has 142 citations in ISI WoS/WoK and his ISI h-index is 8.
